History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Five was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south.
