It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Description: This tall, slender woman is wearing a long, black, dusty cloak. She wears her white hair down. Her gold eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Spice Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dwarven artifacts is her passion; and someone believes her a fraud

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a blue shirt with thin green vertical stripes and brown pants. His hair is auburn, silky, and of moderate length. This amber eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Knight. He became a Knight soon after.

Description: With brown face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty green coat over it. His crest, while still mostly copper, has prominent grey streaks. His red eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Vrondiss's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vrondiss was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His childhood dream was to be a Scribe, but he was a colossal failure. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and balancing his hectic life and new junk dealer responsibilities is difficult
