History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Stableman father left him crippled. During his travels, Shamash and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Shamash discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Shamash fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Havilar is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. When Havilar reached her early adolescence her Dragonborn mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
