Personality: Emerald is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of orcs once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Great was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. In the meantime she has taken over work as a Knight and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He worked as a nervous Crown-heir and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
