Description: He is a husky man, who is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and white, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He has moderate length red crest. His red eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.
History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. After months of barely getting by, Kaladan managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he wants revenge against goblins

Description: An older woman who wears bulky black painted plate armor, she is not a threatening figure. She has done her best to style her silver hair to look like a famous performer. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are white.
Personality: She has always had a great fascination with Gnomish culture. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what she was had she not made sure her armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit she wears a worn and beaten armor. Her golden hair is thinning but still full. Her eyes are likewise amber. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.
Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents were killed by illithids in a raid when she was still a young child. The illithids captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it.

Description: He is an attractive man, lean and moderately muscular. He wears green robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a greataxe, but if one is not available he will default to his greatsword. His black hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His half smiles and silver eyes are beguiling and draw you in.
Personality: Valafar wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Valafar hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and many gnolls want him driven away

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears a tattered pair of loose white pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs. She is bald on top and has large brown tufts of hair around her ears. She wears an eyepatch.
Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Portia was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Roofer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk; and she's looking for her big break
