Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ploughman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and many giants want him driven away

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Through the years after Shágflak was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shágflak's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Shágflak and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture
