History: He comes from a rich southern family. He found a children's book about a Halfling Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now mingles about in high society.

History: He got into the Fortune-teller business at a young age. While he appears to be a normal Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He became a Fortune-teller soon after.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
