History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shamash fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. Cairn is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of a Scribe, who enjoyed hunting, Cairn was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Cairn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed trident, just in case. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Born to a Fletcher, her father struggled to pay the bills. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and obtaining odd cultural elven artifacts is her passion

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and a deep hatred of gnolls
