History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He worked as a nervous Animal Trainer and found it very stressful. He struck the Animal Trainer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and wants to open a new tavern
