He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is his passion; and to reunite with his old friends

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Carlin never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
