History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gargax grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Through the years after Gargax was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gargax's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Courier for the past few years.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. The war was a terrible time for him, and Emerald does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He married young, but lost his spouse to brigands. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Detective for the past few years.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Kite was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Kite and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Williamina was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
