History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Beiro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Shautha's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now mingles about in high society.
