History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Dreali was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Mortician born in the past three hundred years. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Mortician. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Ella never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Personality: She is envious of other's things. She hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that she so desires. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: Duvamil hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Oolah is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Oolah grew up listening to her father's many stories. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she desires power and/or immortality
