Through the years after Five was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Five's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Five and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the west to a Priest, Portia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Portia's homeland. Portia decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Varis was born on a far northern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Scribe. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Varis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
