Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mayor born in the past three hundred years. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Emerald took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Quarion enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a Butcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. Quarion abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Ownka alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
