History: Rurik hails from a village terrorized by orcs. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Dwarves became a terror of the countryside. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Personality: He hates Elves with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the north were limited. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers
