History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He struck the Dyer job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
