Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She takes great joy in being the best Carter in town.

History: Gifted from a young age, Elama studied abroad. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Elama alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has achieved small success as a Carter.

Motivation: To be a Layabout again; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

Description: She wears suspenders and brown workpants. Her shirt is blue, and she wears a heavy brown leather apron most of the time. She carries with her a set of halberds, each one with a sapphire on the hilt. She only wears one on her belt and the other on her back. Her moppish red hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Her blue eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. The war was a terrible time for her, and Eridred does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Eridred has worked very hard to control her curse. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Eridred fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Description: This man is perpetually draped in fineries, but all of this concealed by his earthly robes.. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized amber on his left hand. He wears a colorful flower in his silver hair. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he wants revenge against gnolls
