History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. When Veloptima reached her early adolescence her Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Grumbar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barber they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Map Maker, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She takes great joy in being the best Performer in town.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and wants her loneliness to end

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
