Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. During her travels, Nalaed and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Nalaed discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Nalaed fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.
