History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her divine abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Phelaia hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying east to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
