History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of drow may trigger it at times.

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Miner born in the past three hundred years. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Born in the east to a Miner, Katherine learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Miner for the past few years.

Personality: He hates Gnomes with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born into a rich family. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
