Description: He is lean but muscular and is dressed in a clean black cloak covering his clean studded leather. His hair, while still mostly black, has prominent grey streaks. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.
Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.
History: Mantus was born the youngest of three triplets. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: He is in excellent shape and wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He wears his blonde hair up in a very large beehive style do. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are violet.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Zook lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Description: She likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather, and carries halberds. She keeps her white hair in a pixie cut. This green eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes drow are coming to abduct people. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Bookbinder. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears a simple yellow robe with grey stripes complete with hood. His brown hair is cut short. He is baby faced.
Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. A true patriot, Justin would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Justin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Stableman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Stableman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Hunter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants a kiss

Description: He is in excellent shape and likes to wear ponchos typically of a light violet in addition to tight pants. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: Patrick wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Ranger, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
History: Patrick was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break
