When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: She is a Lamia in disguise. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and retire the richest man in the east
