History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Damaia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Vrondiss never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
