Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: This woman stands a little under 5'4" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She dresses in grey turtlenecks beneath a tan coat with white slacks. She wears a broad hat to cover her moderate length chestnut hair. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: Oriel is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Oriel is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Oriel was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and balancing her hectic life and new engraver responsibilities is difficult

She wears her auburn hair up in a very large beehive style do. She is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: Nalaed speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nalaed grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nalaed. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
