History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Marbas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: She is a Jackalwere in disguise. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
