A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born in the east to a Bather, Maynild learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Bather and found it very stressful. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Mardnab lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he is greedy
