History: Born in the south to a Mason, Rurik learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mason for the past few years.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She invites people to come help in her community garden.

History: Lia hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Lia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. With bright chestnut hair and a scraggly beard. His eyes are likewise amber. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Gerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and obtaining odd cultural dwarven artifacts is his passion

Description: This petite short woman is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. She typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep violet leather and dull black iron scale mail, marred by beers. Her brown hair is still thick. Her gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Miner business.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Miner and was forced into it by her family; and wants to raise her children well
