Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Shanairla began to lead the lost caravan. Some 7 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Shanairla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
