History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Balam abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: Shifting wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. After coming to the age of reason, Shifting took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
