Spear decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He's also a talented Miller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Ploughman arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He married young, but lost his spouse to goblins. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Erky never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
