History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Pearl lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
