History: Shanairla hails from a village terrorized by giants. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Cartwright father left him crippled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and many gnolls want him driven away
