History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Zaffrab alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she dresses like a well dressed Beggar does, and is pretty ugly. Her white hair is lengthy. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 13 years.

Description: This late middle aged woman wears tight fitting pants and leather jackets. She usually doesn't wear a shirt and is in decent physical shape. Her bronze crest, when down, is lengthy. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are red.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. The war was a terrible time for her, and Raiann does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Raiann lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Born in the east to a Layabout, Felosial learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and wants to open a new tavern
