History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Elaim has worked very hard to control his curse. After months of barely getting by, Elaim managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
