He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Locksmith but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A freak accident while working with his Knight father left him crippled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Healer and was forced into it by his family; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: She stands about 6'3" and wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. Her right leg appears badly burned and disfigured. Her crest is greying and her face has many wrinkles. She has gleaming, smiling gold eyes.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Description: She is a physically imposing light-skinned woman. She wears a brown vest and prefers pastel and grey shirts. Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Whurdred was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and she has passion for adventuring and risk
