History: Dagnal hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Trail was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
