History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Alain lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

Personality: This woman loves poetry and to teach people poetry more than just about anything. She takes great joy in being the best Adventurer in town.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She wants revenge against dire rats; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears green painted combat armor at almost all times. He wears his red hair up. His gold eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Merihim isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Tiefling unity. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Merihim was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.
