History: Matilda was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

History: Hobart was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He tends to his Bricklayer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bricklayer and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Layabout but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Shágflak was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Layabout.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: She was born into a rich family. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and wishes to resurrect an old love
