History: Grumbar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Blacksmith and was forced into it by his family.

Description: A thin woman, she clearly needs to put on some weight, but she still has a lot of muscle. She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her long red hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. She has brown eyes.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and regain custody of her daughter

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears a white shirt with thin violet vertical stripes and white pants. He has a brown handlebar mustache and slicked back brown hair. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing dancing.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she usually wears her red robe and has her pickaxe always slung over her shoulder. Her golden hair is still thick. Her eyes are brown and catlike.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He is a Slaad in disguise. Heian abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
