History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born in the north to a Dilettante, Naeris learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Dilettante and found it very stressful. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and doesn't want to be a tanner and was forced into it by his family
