History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Adam hails from a village terrorized by illithids. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in pickaxe use. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has never given up on her writing dream.
