Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Nella's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. The war was a terrible time for her, and Heather does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and to find somewhere to settle down
