Description: He is scrawny and has patchy chestnut stubble. He typically wears black cloth garments or leather armor. He has a hunchback. His hair is short and chestnut. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is a Spy first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Tethren is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Tiefling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He tends to his Spy job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and sabotage a competitor

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears a brown coat over a red low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon her head. Her lavender fur is singed and shortened. She has green eyes.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Great fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with grey lining and desert motifs. His red hair is matted, messy, and big. He has green eyes.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his painting with anyone who is interested.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears a white costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. His top hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His brown eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Scrag hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Scrag was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north.

Description: This malnourished woman is well dressed, constantly wearing a tan suit, black shirt, and blue tie. She is bald on top and has large auburn tufts of hair around her ears. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Tippletoe embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She has all her life been fascinated with poetry.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and an old rival family wants her found
