History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gifted student she started as a Stableman, but she got bored and became a Mortician. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Stableman; and wants her loneliness to end

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her religion dominates her actions
