History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bucklal grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. History: Born in the north to a Bather, Howard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He tends to his Bather job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: She is a Ruler first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Ruler but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Ruler arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. At some point she was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
