History: Heward was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Heward's homeland. Heward decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: Baern is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. Baern enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: This man stands a little under 6'1" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a green costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. He wears a broad hat to cover his moderate length purple hair. His eyes are a pleasant silver.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. He always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and retire the richest man in the east

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she is renowned for her bright black dresses and hats. Her brown hair is thinning but still full. Her hazel unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has achieved small success as a Weaver.
