Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was granted divine powers by her dying brother.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
