History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Hubert has worked very hard to control his curse. Recently the stress of being a Bather has made it difficult for him to sleep.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the east to a Guard, Edge learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Guard work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Edge was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.
